Method 1: Wireless Setup Wizard
- On the printer control panel open Setup / Network Settings.

Common HP LaserJet Setup Mistakes
Connecting to a 5GHz Network

HP Smart App Cannot Find Printer

Firewall or VPN Blocking Detection
VPN software, antivirus tools, or strict firewall settings can prevent the printer from appearing during installation. Temporarily disable them while setting up the printer.
Wireless Setup Keeps Failing

Connect HP LaserJet Printer to Computer
After completing the wireless setup, you need to add the printer to your operating system.
Windows
- Open Settings → Devices → Printers & Scanners
- Click Add Printer or Scanner
- Select your HP LaserJet printer

Mac
- Open System Settings → Printers & Scanners
- Click Add Printer

HP LaserJet USB Setup (Alternative Method)
If wireless setup fails, connect the printer using USB. This is an alternative way to complete the installation.
- Connect the USB cable between the printer and computer

- Choose USB connection when prompted
USB setup ensures the printer installs correctly even without WiFi.
